Illogical fear
can be a consumptive monster if you allow it to be. It can and it will consume your fun, behavior, habits, and life if you let it. This is the base nature of a Panic or anxiety attack. Your mind begins to race, you find yourself short of breath, eventually unable to breath, and you think this could be the end of your life. You are not going to die but it feels that way. So many people have confronted this monster and researched the options. Counseling, therapy or sitting on a couch for an unknown amount of time to find the basis of your problem. Sometimes the answer does not seem good enough and the passive pacification techniques, which work in the confines of the doctor’s office, do not have the same efficacious results in real life situations. Breathing techniques and thinking about those positive affirmations of what is not going to happen, is not the active stance you want to take against this life-consuming monster.
